DURBAN: Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune missed South Africa's match against England on Thursday in protest at being left out of the original squad, coach Jomo Sono said.
Sono said Fortune, who had been expecting to play against several of his club team mates including England captain David Beckham, did not respond to repeated attempts to persuade him to travel from Manchester to play for South Africa.
