Beck's injury mars England's win

DURBAN (South Africa): Emile Heskey gave England a 2-1 win in their friendly international against South Africa on Thursday but the victory was overshadowed by a wrist injury suffered by captain David Beckham.

Beckham was taken to hospital for x-rays after being substituted in the 50th minute following an awkward fall in the first half of a game being used by the South Africans to showcase their 2010 World Cup bid.
