KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Hockey League (MHL) will begin one week earlier than scheduled on May 30 instead of June 5.
The Malaysian Hockey Federation's (MHF) deputy president, Tan Sri P. Alagendra, said that they decided to bring forward the championship following the postponement of the Malaysia-Singapore Sikh Festival of Sports (Gurdwara Cup) in Kuantan because of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome).
