NEUSS (Germany): The temptation of a two-million-euro, 12 month deal with Qatar side Al Arabi has helped former German international Stefan Effenberg put thoughts of retirement to one side.
The controversial 34-year-old, sent home from the 1994 World Cup in Germany for a rude single finger gesture to the crowd, announced Monday he was contemplating a move to the oil and gas rich Gulf state – his last job he insists before he hangs up his boots for good.
