Now, a spring-loaded boot for players to reduce wear and tear

PARIS: British scientists have devised a spring-loaded football boot that, they claim, could reduce wear and tear on the fragile joints of the feet. 

Conventional fixed studs focus pressure on particular areas of the foot and this causes repetitive stress on specific joints, inflicting trauma that can often end a player’s career prematurely.
