PETALING JAYA: The friendly badminton tie between the Malaysian and Chinese men's national badminton team in Guangzhou next month has been cancelled because of the concern over the SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) outbreak.
The friendly tie, scheduled for June 7 and 8, was to take the Thomas Cup format of play over three singles and two doubles matches and it offered US$40,000 to the winners.
