PETALING JAYA: Unseeded Malaysian Nicol David ended her impressive run in the US Squashworks women's open at Salt Lake City in the semi-finals on Saturday, losing 9-0, 9-6, 9-0 to top seed Cassie Jackman.

Sixth seed Sharon Wee also bowed out in the semi-finals. She was beaten 2-9, 6-9, 7-9 by another English player, the third seeded Vicky Botwright.

Nicol had beaten fourth seed Rebecca Chiu to reach the last four and it was sweet revenge over her defeat by the Hong Kong number one in the finals of the Asian Games in Busan last October.
