PETALING JAYA: Malaysia's Nicol David avenged her shock defeat to Rebecca Chiu in the women’s singles final of the Busan Asian Games last year when she pulled off an upset win over her archrival to reach the semi-finals of the US Women's Squashworks Open in Salt Lake City on Friday.
In their first meeting since the clash in Busan last October, unseeded Nicol beat hong Kong’s fourth seeded Rebecca 9-6, 10-9, 4-9, 9-4 in the quarter-finals to earn a clash with top seed Cassie Jackman from England.
