LONDON: Iraq's Olympic body will be dissolved next week following a report into complaints that athletes were tortured in the country, International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge said on Wednesday.
The IOC will rubberstamp a motion to dissolve the Iraqi National Olympic Committee at a meeting in Madrid next week and has already lined up talks with a group of exiles to rebuild sport in the war-ravaged nation, Rogge announced.
