PARIS: Vancouver became favourites to host the 2010 Winter Games when the International Olympic Committee’s evaluation commission report on the three cities bidding was released in Lausanne.
Although the commission’s report said all three, Vancouver, Salzburg and South Korea’s PyeongChang, could all organise very good Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Canadian bid escaped virtually unscathed by any criticism.
