MALACCA: A hat-trick by striker Khalid Jamlus was good enough for Perak to finish as Premier I table-toppers at the end of the first round but they were made to work for their 3-2 win over lowly Malacca at the Stadium Hang Tuah last night.
The victory meant Perak were assured of the RM40,000 reward for being the top team. Malacca, who scored through Mohamed Fauzi Kassim and Mohd Suffian Samusbari, were last but one in the standings.
