MADRID: Ever-controversial Atletico Madrid president Jesus Gil added to his infamy here on Sunday by declaring on the Spanish television station TeleMadrid that some of his players, “didn’t deserve to live”.
Gil’s outburst was in the wake of Atletico’s 1-0 home defeat on Saturday by relegation-threatened Osasuna, a result that ruined the celebration of Atletico’s centenary.
