COLOMBO: The first cricket Test between Sri Lanka and New Zealand was set for a draw after rain halted play in the post-lunch session of the fourth day's play here yesterday.
Sri Lanka, replying to New Zealand's first innings total of 515-7 declared, were 424-6 when a thunderstorm drove the players back to the pavilion and forced the umpires to call for tea 45 minutes early.
