TENERIFE (Canary Islands): Britain’s Kenneth Ferrie birdied the second playoff hole yesterday to beat Swede Peter Hedblom and Ireland’s Peter Lawrie in a playoff for the Canaries Spanish Open title.
The trio had finished on 22-under-par 266, a stroke ahead of the field, Ferrie closing with a three-under-par 69, Hedblom a 67 and Lawrie a 66.
