MAPUTO: At least 12 Mozambican football players and technical staff were killed last night in a road accident in the southern province of Inhambane, state radio reported on Wednesday.
The radio said the players of the Wane Pone team of the country’s Premier League died after their minibus ran into the back of a truck carrying steel pipes for a gas project run by South Africa’s petrochemical giant Sasol.
