PETALING JAYA: The Arafura Games scheduled to take place in Australia next month have been called off due to the continued uncertainty about the availability of international participants and ongoing health concerns surrounding the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).
With less than a month to the start of the 2003 Games, the organisers, in a statement, said there was simply too much uncertainty to be able to guarantee a successful event.
