FARO (Portugal): Lee Westwoods optimism that his game was getting back in shape was severely tested yesterday when he crashed to a nine-over 81 in the Algarve Portuguese Open first round.
The 2000 European number one had predicted the day before he would soon be seeing favourable results and could climb back up the world rankings after working with coach David Leadbetter.
