LONDON: Portsmouth sealed their return to English football's top flight for the first time in 15 years with a 1-0 first division victory over Burnley on Tuesday. Bulgarian striker Svetoslav Todorov scored the winner after 73 minutes, slotting home a left-wing cross from close range for his 20th goal of the season.
Portsmouth returned to the top of the table, two points above Leicester City, who would also have been promoted if third-placed Sheffield United had not beaten Nottingham Forest 1-0.
