MILAN: The Naples city council is to ask the Italian government for permission to rename Napoli's football stadium after the club's former Argentina striker Diego Maradona.
A World Cup winner in 1986, Maradona helped Napoli, currently struggling near the foot of the second division, win the Italian Serie A title in 1987 and 1990.
