TOKYO: Japan coach Zico looks poised to give Portsmouth goalkeeper Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi a starting place in the home friendly against Uruguay on Friday.
The 27-year-old has not played for the English first division club for more than a year and had been overlooked by Zico for his first two games in charge of Japan against Jamaica and Argentina last year.
