Perak sub Surendren scores first goal for seniors

IPOH: Second-half substitute R. Surendren found the mark in injury time to give defending champions Perak a hard-earned 1-0 win over Kedah in a Premier I match at the Perak Stadium here last night.

Surendren, who was the top scorer in last year's Sukma (Malaysia Games) in Kota Kinabalu, came in for a tired M. Nagaraja in the 75th minute. He was hardly in the picture until a quick counter attack initiated by newly-wed Indra Putra Mahayuddin put him through to give Perak full points.
