MIAMI (Florida): Todd Martin used the searing Florida heat to his advantage as he eased through to the second round of the US$3.25 million Nasdaq-100 Open on Wednesday.
The veteran American, whose tennis commitments have been curtailed this year by the birth of his first child Jackson in January, beat Argentine Mariano Zabaleta 6-4, 6-4 in a one-sided first-round match played in heat of more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
