KUALA LUMPUR: A major credit card cloning syndicate has been busted, preventing it from ripping off banks of millions of ringgit during the Petronas Formula One races this weekend.
Federal police commercial crimes officers scored this success after raiding several outlets including five-star hotels whose credit card machines had been illegally fitted with electronic data capturing (EDC) microchips.
