KUALA LUMPUR: The Indian High Commission here has described the withdrawal of the Indian national team from the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament as the right thing to do.
High Commissioner Veena Sikri said the action was taken to protect the safety of Indian visitors to Malaysia, confirming that the pullout was directly linked to the police action against India’s IT workers on March 9.
