Asian stars defeat Japanese to bag inaugural Dynasty Cup

SHENZHEN: Asia clinched the inaugural Dynasty Cup 16.5-7.5 yesterday after dominating the singles matches at Mission Hills, with Thai star Thammanoon Srirot the hero of the hour after holing the winning putt.

Asia had entered the final day 8-4 ahead and needed only four and half points to clinch the first Ryder Cup-style event between the 12 best players from the Asian and Japan tours.
