PETALING JAYA: Selangor bowlers Mohd Amirul Syafiq and Christyn Chew clinched their first Open titles, emerging as winners in the second leg of the SportExcel-NSC-Milo national junior bowling circuit championships at the Ampang Superbowl in Ipoh on Sunday.
Selangor's Amirul, who finished tops after the round robin quarter-finals, shot an impressive 244 pins in the sudden-death roll-off to beat teammate Zaid Izlan, who managed 192, in the boys' final.
