Hoteliers caught in the F1 fever

KUALA LUMPUR: As a show of support for a national project, Petaling Jaya Hilton and Hyatt Regency Saujana, two leading hotels in Selangor, are organising special promotions under their roof to hype up the 2003 Petronas Malaysian F1 Grand Prix.

While Petaling Jaya Hilton has already painted its restaurant – Uncle Chilli's – in F1 colours, Hyatt Regency Saujana will kick off a special promotion “Celebrate The World's Hottest Race at RP” tonight night.

RP stands for Rumah Peranakan, an entertainment outlet in the Hyatt Regency Saujana.

“At Uncle Chilli's, they are having the 'F1 Pastamania'. Why, Pastamania is simply because pasta is the favourite dish for many of the F1 drivers and team crew,” said the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) senior manager (marketing communications) Shuhainie Shamsudin yesterday.

“For RP, we will have a special launch tomorrow. There will be F1 cars, Porsche cars, race tickets can be won and plenty of fun and games.” – Bernama
