LONDON: US sports tycoon Malcolm Glazer has quietly bought 2.9% of Manchester United, raising speculation that the English football club could fall into US hands, the Sunday Telegraph said.
It said Glazer, 74, owner of Super Bowl champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers, paid about £9 million (US$14.2 million) to buy into the club which includes England captain David Beckham.
