LONDON: Dismissed as a second-rate competition by most Premier League clubs in its early stages, it would have been inconceivable back in the autumn that both Liverpool and Manchester United would have had one eye on tomorrow's Worthington Cup Final at Cardiff Stadium while competing in Europe this week.
