PETALING JAYA: The Selangor Open, which will be held at SBA Hall in Kampung Attap next week, will kick off the local badminton circuit for the year – but it will be a lacklustre affair as a host of top national players, including All-England champion Mohd Hafiz Hashim, will be skipping the tournament.
National number one Wong Choong Hann, James Chua, All-England semi-finalist Roslin Hashim and Lee Chong Wei, who won the Grand Prix Finals title last month, will all also be out.
