Marseille open five-point gap as PSG slump

PARIS: Olympique Marseille opened a five-point lead over second-placed Monaco thanks to a deserved 2-0 French Division One victory over struggling Lille as Paris St Germain slumped to a clumsy 3-2 defeat at En Avant Guingamp on Saturday.

Striker Ibrahima Bakayoko slotted a cross from defender Manuel Dos Santos in the first half and Pascal Johansen netted a free-kick in the 80th to hand a resurgent Marseille the three points and bolster the side’s position at the top of the table.
