QUITO: Ecuador's referees went on strike to demand higher match fees on Friday, forcing the start of the national championship to be postponed.
“We've stopped, at least for the first round of matches,” the president of the Ecuador Referees Assocation Mauricio Reinoso said in a radio interview.
