LANGKAWI: A month after winning the 2001 Langkawi Ironman, Belinda Halloran of Australia faced the horrifying prospect of never being able to walk again.
In the Brazilian Ironman the following month, Belinda suffered an injury to her right leg. The 24-year-old developed developing paralysis in her leg due to damage nerves.
