LONDON COLNEY (England): Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger defended England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson on Friday, blaming the congested fixture list for their humiliating defeat to Australia.
Wenger also said national team get-togethers, already experimented by Eriksson, were a better alternative to friendlies which fall right in the middle of the clubs' European and domestic duties.
