KUCHING: A freak goal deep into injury time dented Sarawak’s hopes of getting their first win over Sabah in 10 years in their opening Premier I match at the Sarawak Stadium last night.

Sarawak were leading 3-2 as the match went into injury time and Sabah earned a free-kick. The kick, by Asmawi Bakiri had to be taken twice and on the second attempt Sarawak goalkeeper Mohd Azley Abdullah tried to stop the ball with his feet.
