DOHA: Second-seeded Russian Anastasia Myskina and her fifth-seeded compatriot Elena Likhovtseva cruised into the semi-finals of the US$170,000 Qatar Open yesterday with straight-set victories.
Myskina withstood a late challenge from fellow Russian Dinara Safina, winning 6-2, 7-5 while Likhovtseva knocked out third-seeded Bulgarian Magdalena Maleeva 6-4, 6-2.
