JOHANNESBURG: Seamer Chaminda Vaas created a Cricket World Cup sensation yesterday when he grabbed a hat-trick with the first three deliveries of the match to fire Sri Lanka to a 10-wicket romp over Bangladesh in Pietermaritzburg.
The 29-year-old left-armer claimed another wicket off the fifth legal delivery of the opening over to leave Bangladesh struggling at 5-4.
