LONDON: England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson criticised his team after their 3-1 defeat by Australia on Wednesday, but insisted they would rally for next month's crunch Euro 2004 qualifier with Turkey.
England's miserable first-half performance at Upton Park by Eriksson's “First XI” left them trailing 2-0 at the break in the friendly, before Eriksson made 11 pre-planned substitutions and switched to a team aged 25 and under for the second half.
