LONDON: Manchester City goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has put talks on a possible contract extension with the English Premiership club on hold as he battles for fitness.
The Danish international was denied an emotional appearance against his old club Manchester United when he pulled up in the warm-up to Sunday's 1-1 draw after aggravating a calf injury.
