'Flying Sikh' off to good start in title defence despite icy conditions

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian rally ace Karamjit Singh showed he was as good on snow as anywhere else when he started the defence of his FIA Production Car World Rally Championships crown with an overall third place finish in the Rally of Sweden.

Karamjit and co-driver Allen Oh were making their first appearance in a snow rally, but still managed to take their Proton PERT car to the last podium spot after the end of 17 stages on Sunday.
