BERLIN: Bayer Leverkusen bought more time for under-threat manager Klaus Toppmoller with a penalty shootout victory over Unterhaching in the quarter-final of the German Cup on Wednesday.
The match ended 2-2 after extra-time and Toppmoller had goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt to thank as he scored the decisive spot kick to give last year's Champions League finalists a 5-4 victory on penalties. AFP
