KUALA LUMPUR: The Rakan Sukan programme, which was introduced in 1994 to prepare athletes for the 1998 Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games, will be replaced by Taja Gemilang (excellent sponsorship).
Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said the Taja Gemilang was a revamped and updated version of the Rakan Sukan programme to suit current needs.
