Kerr named as new manager of Ireland


DUBLIN: Ireland’s football bosses opted for a home-grown manager on Monday by appointing youth team coach Brian Kerr to take charge of the national team. 

Kerr’s first job in charge after his official unveiling on Tuesday is likely to be enticing Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane – Ireland’s only world class player – to put on a green shirt again.
