PHOENIX (Arizona): American Tim Petrovic used his improved conditioning to his advantage on Friday, carding a career-best eight-under 63 for a share of the 36-hole lead at the PGA Phoenix Open.
Playing in perfect conditions at the TPC of Scottsdale, Petrovic grabbed the clubhouse lead at 13-under 129 before being caught by first-round leader and fellow American Harrison Frazar. Steve Stricker heads a group of five players at 131 after carding a 62.
