Defending champion James loses first group match against Beng Hong


KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawakian James Chua got off to a bad start in his bid to retain the men’s singles crown in the National Grand Prix Finals at the Selangor BA Hall in Kampung Attap here yesterday. 

The 23-year-old James, dubbed as the king of the local tournaments, suffered a shock 2-15, 3-15 defeat by Kedah youngster Kuan Beng Hong in the opening Group C match.
