NEWCASTLE: Newcastle boss Bobby Robson was expected yesterday to make a £10 million bid for Leeds defender Jonathan Woodgate.
Woodgate is currently sidelined by a thigh injury which is likely to keep him out for six weeks, but Robson wants to conclude the deal to beat the January transfer deadline.
