Problems in the women's Tour


MELBOURNE: In the last 25 years, no women’s sport has produced more global stars than tennis: from Billie Jean King to Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert; to Steffi Graf and Monica Seles; to Martina Hingis, Jennifer Capriati and the Williams sisters. 

In truth, no other women’s sport comes close, which is why it remains so maddening that the game that has generated all these prominent, often socially significant figures remains so inexpertly managed and poorly structured.
