SYDNEY: Sri Lanka’s cricketers yesterday accepted an apology from Australian batsman Darren Lehman for a racial outburst during their latest match, but cricket authorities were not so forgiving.
Lehmann reportedly referred to Sri Lankan players as “black” in a two-word obscenity shouted in the corridor separating the teams’ dressing rooms after he was run out for 38 in Wednesday’s game in Brisbane.
