HONOLULU: American teen Michelle Wie failed to become just the second female to qualify for a US PGA Tour event when she shot a one-over 73 on Monday in the build up to the US$4.5 million Sony Open.
Wie, 13, was one of 94 professional and amateur golfers competing in Monday’s qualifying tournament for the final four spots in the Sony Open.
