SANTIAGO: Chile’s unsuccessful Under-20 team, eliminated in the first round of the South American youth championship in Uruguay, have complained of a humourless team camp in which players were fined for laughing, a newspaper said.
“We were eating and someone made a good joke. We all killed ourselves laughing. But it annoyed the coaches, who said it was not a laughing matter and fined us,” midfielder Luis Jara told the Santiago-daily Las Ultimas Noticias.
